The service was very good, staff was very helpful. It tasted great in the beginning but later got too overwhelming. Two of us could not order more variety of dishes as there was no option for a smaller portion. To eat only two dishes throughout really felt overwhelming, especially for the fish. Wish they offer smaller portion so diners could order more dishes.

There are more and more sauerkraut fish shops opening up in Singapore and I would say Tai Er is by far, hands down, still the best. There is a good balance of spiciness and sourness to the dish that makes you go back for more. Their pearly rice is also very different and cooked to perfection. It’s the little things that adds up to the whole dining experience. Warning: Once you tried their rice, you will keep thinking about it and craving for more. We ordered the crispy pork by mistake and it was a happy accident. The pork was soft and crispy and with a nice porky taste without being too porky. This is going to be a must order for me next time. 🤤
Not as crowded compared to the early days when they just opened. So best to go now.The signature 酸辣鱼 is out of the world (super yummy). The 辣子鸡isn’t like what you usually get outside, hence I didn't rate it.The coconut drink is fantastic 👍The service is inconsistent - the staff didn't do their usual cheers+greeting when we entered 😅Overall, still a good experience

First time trying 酸菜鱼 and it was actually better than expected! Reasonably priced, fresh fish, fast and friendly service! Also enjoyed the crispy chicken wings that went really well with the sauce, as well as the salted egg fish skin (picture not taken)

Eh i think the fish is alright and the soup is alright….The fish is a little soft and theres really isnt much texture? The soup is super sour and after awhile gets hard to eat. The free drink they give is hot tea and it doesnt really help with the sourness of the soup as wellAlso, we got into a fight with someone who said that we were cutting the queue so that wasnt great as wellOverall nah i dont think tai er is great… its quite expensive too at like $40 i think
