Starbucks Toa Payoh, located at 490 Lor 6 Toa Payoh, #01-14 HDB Hub, Singapore 310490, is a fantastic spot to enjoy delicious Coffee. I went there and liked it. The Coffee is super tasty, and the place is comfy with lots of seats. It’s not just a Coffee spot. It’s like a cozy spot to chill and enjoy good cakes. People who love tea and Coffee often choose it because it’s a great place to drink and relax.
Visited around 240pm on 10 dec and the service was great IMO! I mistakenly ordered through the counter although I had to do a mobile order to use a voucher but the staff guided me patiently. I was here few days ago and was given a wrong order (by another staff) which the same staff apologised for and exchanged it promptly despite it being peak hour.
Staff here are very unfriendly, rude and very unwelcoming. I don’t need them to smile or be nice. I just need my coffee. I waited at least a few minutes plus a few eye contacts and waited for them to finish conversing before one finally sighed and took my order. She was really sassy about it. After taking my order, she went away and my friend awkwardly stood there and waited. It was to the extent she decided not to order and rather be hungry.Seeing the other reviews, it’s the same kind of experience. Again, we don’t need smiles or a fantastic experience. We just need not be ignored and just want our coffee. It was extremely awkward to have eye contacts and then be ignored several times.
Food and atmosphere as good as any Starbucks. Nothing special. But customer service was abysmal. The attitude of the worker there was terrible. Accidentally spilled my drink which was very full. Yes this is my fault completely and I did apologize (several times), but the worker there was very nasty about it. I don’t think the tone and comments made were warranted.
Definitely the worst Starbucks I’ve been to.Staffs are rude with no customer service. Just stay behind the counter and converse loudly among themselves in Malay, while everyone else is quietly doing their own things.If it’s once in a while, I think customers can understand. But the group of staffs just keep shouting and laughing for the past hour, ignoring the glares from customers. The loudest group in the entire store. (Staffs in the back kitchen were also shouting and laughing, it was audible even at the front door).Very loud among themselves, but when customer greet them or say thank you, or ask for recommendations, all suddenly become very quiet.Throughout my 2hr sit in the store, no one came out to clean/wipe tables, which can also partially explain why my water cup is dirty.Will be raising this issue to Starbucks Singapore. The restaurant is not a place for staffs to gossip loudly.
This outlet is quite small but very conveniently located just above Potong Pasir MRT. Breakfast set is quite reasonable. I always top up for a cold brew instead of the brew of the day. Breakfast set can look quite pathetic but they actually taste quite good.
