Southern American restaurant inside Marina Bay Sands Shoppes that is rather popular with their well known signature dish, Chicken & Waffles. The chicken was crispy outside & juicy inside, elevating the quality of each bite. The Mac & Cheese was excellent, melding together in a symphony of creamy, savoury, cheesy, making each mouthful indulgent yet not too heavy. The key lime pie was an exquisite blend of sweet, creamy, tart taste but not too sharp to steer the profile in one direction. We tried their old fashion cocktail, Yard which was unique with a piece of fried bacon as garnish. The let down dish was the crab cake which was mushy & fishy. Service was excellent as the waiters were all very friendly. They have complementary car park coupon worth $17 per entry during dinner time.
All in all, could be better. Ordered 3 mains and an appetizer to share. One main was served first. The rest of the food only came 20minutes later. We had to cajole our friend to eat first otherwise, food will get cold. And only when his plate is almost done, the appetizer got served. Then my chicken sandwich, followed by the burger.Could have been planned better as this didnt give us a good eating experience with one friend finished eating first and watching us 2 eat.Waitresses are okay - just doing their job. They asked "how is your food" but doesnt know how to respond and only smiled when we say "not so good".Zero atmosphere, it's just like any other typical shopping mall restaurant. Will not come back unless someone can influence me to change my mind.
One of the better meals I’ve had in 2023, of course at a price. It is a nice place for special occasions. Portions wise for 2, we were well fed.For 2, we orderedChicken with wafflesLobster Mac and cheese (I think you can order the normal Mac and cheese, the chicken is filling)
we had the bacon hash waffle & eggs, classic buttermilk and biscuits, and the cinnamon roll.highly recommend the bacon hash waffle & eggs, they were incredibly tasty and the portion was more than adequate for me personally. the biscuits were also divine with the honey butter.i can't speak for the cinnamon roll as we actually ordered the blueberry pie pancakes (which was recommended to us), and after a decently long wait (~20 min) we were informed that it couldn't be made to perfection and thus had to order something else. though i appreciate the dedication to perfecting the dish- it's understandable to be frustrated and somewhat put off by this circumstance.the atmosphere was decent, they're committed to the aesthetic though lighting is a little bad if you want to take pictures!
Opting for the lunch break set, I selected the protein power bowl and sweet corn hush puppies. The portions were impressively generous. The protein power bowl, featuring all my favorite ingredients atop a bed of rocket leaves, stood out despite being a tad salty. The restaurant's atmosphere exuded romance, heightened by charming decorations—particularly noteworthy were the vases of lavender adorning each table. Dining solo, I expressed my interest in keeping the lavender to one waiter, but unfortunately, another waitress inadvertently removed it without my notice.Despite this small glitch, it's a restaurant I'd gladly revisit. Next time, I'm inclined to explore their signature chicken dishes, curious to see if they match the excellence of my initial visit.
